Just when you thought Hillsong’s “Oceans” couldn’t get any better…

Hillsong United - published on 11/10/16

The worship group heads to the Holy Land and films their hit on the Sea of Galilee

Protestant worship group Hillsong has long been a household name. And then they made “Oceans,” and with it they smashed all kinds of records: it spent 59 weeks (that’s more than a year) at the top spot on the Billboard Hot Christian Chart, over 111 weeks in the top 5, and became the first Christian chart-topper to break into the Billboard Top 100 for all genres.

It seems it would be hard to top the previous success of “Oceans.” The simply lyric video had over 70 million views.

But then they took the song the Holy Land, to the Sea of Galillee, right where Jesus called Peter out onto the water.

The new recording is part of their latest Of Dirt and Grace (Live from the Land) album, a collection of some of their most popular worship songs recorded live in the Holy Land in the footsteps of Christ.

Other songs on the album include “Street Called Mercy,” filmed along the Via Dolorosa, which you can watch here.
