The recorder is often one of the first instruments played by school children. The same was true for Prague-born Anna Fusek: she began playing as a young girl. But her recorder concerts are a far cry from those elementary school recitals, having been featured as a soloist at Carnegie Hall, Théatre des Champs-Elysées, and the Philharmonie Berlin, among a long list of other important venues.
The young musician has also won multiple awards for recorder, violin, and piano. And she studied philosophy, musicology, and does a bit of acting. How’s that for a resumé?
The video above features Fusek along with Capella Anna,” a Czech-German orchestra. The Vivaldi piece was part of a larger program of Vivaldi and Bach pieces.
Don’t miss the movement beginning at 7:35, where Fusek really shines.
