Cagney Wenk, only 26 years old, was diagnosed with an aggressive cancer three weeks before the due date of his son. After three brain surgeries, he was told that he wouldn’t survive to see his newborn child.

Defying all odds, Wenk battled the cancer with all his might, hoping against hope that he would be there to see his son.

While his wife Jessica was in labor, Wenk and his ICU nurse came into the room with all of his medical equipment so that he could witness the birth and be one of the first ones to hold his child.

Even though his vision was impaired from all of the surgeries, Wenk was able to listen and hear the most beautiful sound in the world.

After the birth, his son was brought closer to him and Wenk said, holding the hand of his wife, “We have all the love in the world around us now.”

Don’t miss the heart-warming video of Wenk listening with joy to the cries of his newborn baby below.
