“You are welcome to share and give until it hurts,” wrote Mother Teresa in a letter addressed to Virgil Dechant, Supreme Knight of the Knights of Columbus, in April 1988. Now, in recognition of the canonization of Blessed Mother Teresa the Museum of the Knights of Columbus, in New Haven, Connecticut, has set up a new display, honoring the founder of the Missionaries of Charity, showcasing her work with a special emphasis on the long and close relationship and collaboration the Knights of Columbus had the pleasure (and privilege) to share with her. The heart of the exhibition might as well be the letter itself, which the Knights have treasured for almost 30 years.
