I’m no longer a slave to fear. I am a child of God.

“Rest in divine filiation. God is a Father — your Father! — full of warmth and infinite love. Call him Father frequently and tell him, when you are alone, that you love him, that you love him very much!, and that you feel proud and strong because you are his son” (St. Josemaría Escrivá, The Forge, 331).

Do we really believe this? What if we lived it — the freedom of the sons and daughters of God?

Jonathan David and Melissa Helser of Bethel music lead us in prayer and worship with their song “No Longer Slaves.” It’s a song that acknowledges and claims our divine filiation and the consequence it has for our lives: confident freedom.

I’m no longer a slave to fear. I am a child of God.

I am surrounded by the arms of a Father.

We’ve been liberated from our bondage.
