Tori Harris,a young artist from Nashville, journeys with us this Lent with her song, “Less of me.”
At a time when everything clamors to the self about the self, when our understanding of success is saturated with individualism, and when ‘realizing oneself’ and being affirmed by society are goals to be attained at any cost, this song goes against the tide.
“Less of me” invites us to give, to give ourselves totally to Him in love, humility and courage. It invites not to speak, but to listen; to become little rather than exalting ourselves; to receive instead of taking; and to wait without making demands.
