“Fill the darkness with light.”

Earlier this week we brought you a selection of songs for the pope’s visit, featuring different selections for the various legs of his journey. We also brought you a special song by Eduardo Verastegui dedicated to Pope Francis.

This last song, “México se Pinta de Luz,” means “Mexico is painted in light.” The chorus begins “fill the darkness with light,” and the entire video reflects the theme. The artists radiate a joy that is contagious.

It seems a fitting conclusion and summary of the papal visit.
