Write in me a melody
so I can sing redemption’s song.
On April 4, 1999, Pope John Paul II published his “Letter to Artists”:
“Artists of the world, may your many different paths all lead to that infinite Ocean of beauty where wonder becomes awe, exhilaration, unspeakable joy.”
It was God, through music, who saved Chad Mattson’s life, after he became drawn into the black tunnel of drugs and alcohol.
His life bears witness to the truth that grace can reach you through most the most unexpected paths — in Chad’s case, through a mission to the Dominican Republic. His life testifies that beauty can save a life and lead to the unspeakable joy.
New inspirations, new ideas, perspectives, thoughts, and words. Freedom rediscovered in relation to one’s body and in right love of oneself.
Listening to Chad, it’s clear that he’s lived what he sings. And this makes all the difference between a song well performed, and a song well interpreted.
Becoming small, and being able to admit one’s own imperfections, makes us better people.
“Broken Man” is one of those songs that strikes you to the heart and fills you with courage to face new challenges.
We warmly suggest the entire 2015 album, Unspoken Unplugged. Download it here: https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/unplugged/id993278635
Happy listening!
