In this Upworthy video, we visit Rosa’s Fresh Pizza in Philadelphia where customers can pre-order a piece of pizza for a homeless person for $1. Mason Wartman, who opened Rosa’s, after working a desk job on New York’s Wall Street, says that one day a gentleman walked in and offered to pre-purchase a slice of pizza for the next homeless person who came in. Wartman bought some sticky notes and posted one behind the register so he wouldn’t forget and eventually, a homeless person walked in the door. The rest is history: To date they’ve given over 10,000 pieces of pizza to the homeless. "I feel welcomed," said one homeless man about Rosa’s, which, apparently also happens to make tasty pizza.
