The Vatican has recently installed several restrooms for the homeless near St. Peter’s Square. Hot showers, sinks, toilets, and even an area for haircuts are being made available to the public seven days a week, except when official ceremonies take place in St. Peter’s Square. The homeless who come will receive personal hygiene kits donated by independent organizations, or paid for by the Vatican. Volunteers will staff the facilities, including the Sisters of Charity, and on Mondays barbers and hair stylists will donate their services. Video produced by Rome Reports
