Video: Meet the Hillbilly Thomist Dominicans

A group of Dominicans at the Dominican House of Studies in Washington, D.C call themselves the "Hillbilly Thomists." The name comes from the letters of Flannery O’Connor, who referred to herself the same way since she was from Georgia and studied St. Thomas. As Brother Justin Mary Bolger says in this video, the Dominicans’ mission is to preach the truth, but since people today often don't respond to formal exposition, beauty is often the way to reach them—to show them who God is, and that he wants to communicate with us.
