Video: Unique Rendition of “Angels We Have Heard on High” Evokes Angelic Hosts

This is a beautiful a cappella arrangement of the Christmas carol, "Angels We have Heard on High." The song’s lyrics tell the story of the birth of Jesus as found in the Gospel of Luke, where shepherds outside of Bethlehem encounter angels praising the newborn child. The words are based on a classic French carol, "Les Anges Dans Nos Campagnes," which means "Angels in Our Countryside." The carol has undergone many revisions and changes and its most common English version was reportedly translated in 1862 by James Chadwick, the Roman Catholic Bishop of Hexham and Newcastle, in northeast England. This music video is a modern a cappella version by the group, Home Free, and can be found on their new Christmas album, Full of Cheer.
