Video: #1 Billboard Classical Album Artists Are Nuns Who Sing Like Angels

Zoe Romanowsky - published on 11/25/14

A peek behind the making of "Angels and Saints at Ephesus."

The Benedictines of Mary, Queen of Apostles, in Missouri, don’t just work and pray; they sing — like angels. In fact, their 2012 Advent album "Angels and Saints at Ephesus" spent six weeks as #1 Billboard Classical Album and was covered by the national media. The Benedictines spend three hours a day chanting the Divine Office, and focus on God as beauty in through their singing, chanting, and daily activities. Their albums are a cappella. "Angels and Saints at Ephesus" was recorded by nine time Grammy Award winning German producer, Christopher Alder. This video gives a window into the exquisite music of the Benectines of Mary, who believe angels come and sing with them.
