In an interview with MEMRI TV (Middle East Media Research Institute), Orthodox Archbishop Nikodimos Daoud of Mosul said he waited to speak out against ISIS beccause he was afraid any public remarks would place the city’s Christians at risk. But since they all left when the Islamic State gave the followers of Christ the ultimatum of converting to Islam or be put to death, he said there was no longer any reason to remain silent.
