Let the Gospel of Jesus Christ and His Church be known throughout the world!
Thousands of websites, TV stations, videographers, radio station, podcasters, writers, musicians, photographers, etc. have heard and responded to this calling via the new media.
Likewise, Catholic educational institutions, religious communities, bishops conferences, charitable enterprises, dioceses, parishes, apostolates and more take up the Great Commission: “Go into the world and preach the Gospel…” Many of these entities proclaim the Gospel through social media, as well as in more traditional ways.
All play their role in the Church’s new evangelization.
Yet, a recent survey found that half of Catholics in North America are completely unaware that a Catholic presence exists on the internet.
The problem Catholic new media confront is scale. For all of our worthy efforts the financial resources poured into secular new media–from the Huffington Post to CNN to BBC to Al Jazeera and on and on in every language—creates such a cacophony that the Catholic voice can hardly be heard.
Aleteia was founded as an answer to the problem of scale. The digital sea is enormous, and it’s easy for any one effort in Catholic new media, including Aleteia to become lost. If we combine our resources as partners, however, we can become very quickly what we truly are: a strong and clear voice for the world’s 1.2 billion Catholics and a means of outreach to those who do not know Christ.
Aletia has developed three different categories of partnership: Supporting Partner, Contribution Partner, and Institutional Partner.
Joining Aleteia as a partner is absolutely free and each partner category enjoys a range of services and benefits.
Supporting Partners share in our mission of evangelization. Through their own channels they let others know about Aleteia and help recruit additional partners. They are under no obligation to supply editorial content.
Instead, Aleteia helps enrich their own new media presence through supplying our video service, “Aleteia TV,” our latest stories through the “Aleteia Ticker,” and other means of exporting content. We bring attention to our Supporting Partners through providing them with a personal profile page on our website. There’s more and you can find out the details here.
As the name suggests, Contributing Partners do supply editorial content on a schedule that fits with their own publishing program. We have three classes of Contributing Partners: Classic, Premium, and Elite. The more editorial content a Contributing Partner supplies, the higher their classification and the greater its services and benefits.
Contributing Partners enjoy all the benefits of Supporting Partners and valuable additional services. Presently, Classic Partners qualify for eleven benefits; Premium, 14; and Elite, 21, including revenue sharing. For all the specifics go click here.
We also have Institutional Partners from Catholic organizations around the world. If they wish, they may supply editorial content, although this is not necessary. They receive a number of services and benefits as well. Consult this page for specifics.
We have built into our Content Management System quick and easy ways to receive content from our Partners. We recognize that most Catholic new media endeavors operate with small staffs who work hard to fulfill their own organizations’ missions. In most cases, sharing whatever content Partners choose to share with us will be, after a simple set-up, an automatic, plug-n-play process. So will receiving our services and benefits.
Become a partner today! Alone we face overwhelming competition from secular media. Together, we can join the global
