Aleteia seeks to be a reliable source of information. One that is both faithful to the Magisterium of the Catholic Church and knowledgeable about our world. We have devoted substantial resources to developing a network of experts, to keep us true to the Gospel and informed about the widest possible range of topics.
Our International Board of Experts consists of twenty people chosen both for their common commitment to the Church’s teaching and their diverse backgrounds. Whether clergy or lay they are recognized around the world as experts in their fields.
While this Board does not exercise direct control of our content, we invite our Board members to keep watch over Aleteia and keep us focused on our mission.
Our International Board of Experts meets yearly to review Aleteia’s progress and provide us with guidance. We also invite every Board member to contact us at any time about possible problems or to suggest topics to investigate. Our International Board also suggests those we might include in our wider net of experts.
Presently, our wider net of experts includes more than 300 top-professionals from the worlds of academia, business, communications, medicine, the arts, etc. We often invite our experts to write on particular topics or to comment on breaking news. Stories to which our experts contribute are marked by this symbol. We want our users to recognize instantly that these stories are particularly worthy of attention.
Our experts are chosen by management, but we do invite our users to make recommendations of experts who could make a valuable contribution to Aleteia. Names and a one or two line description should be submitted to experts@aleteia.org.
